About Me

Since 2017, I’ve had the privilege of providing high-quality piano service for professional musicians, music educators, and recreational players in homes, churches, schools, and performance venues.

I was fortunate to grow up with a piano technician as a father, and from an early age, I understood the dramatic difference a well-maintained piano can make—not only in sound, but in the joy of playing.

My professional training began at the Butler School of Piano Technology under Rick Butler, piano technician for the Kennedy Center. From there, I spent two years apprenticing with my father, David Weiss, a concert-level tuner and Registered Piano Technician. I’ve since earned my own RPT designation through the Piano Technicians Guild, which requires passing a rigorous series of exams in tuning, regulation, and repair.

Throughout my career, I’ve been proud to serve diverse communities, including as Head Piano Technician for the University of Virginia Music Department and the Tuesday Evening Concert Series. Now based in Eastern North Carolina, I’m excited to bring that same dedication and expertise to a new region.

Whether you play professionally or simply love music, I’m here to help your piano sound its very best.
